Who is Janice MacAulay?

Janice B.Sc in Kinesiology – University of Saskatchewan

Theory of Coaching and Level 1 Track and Field (NCCP)

Janice attended the University of Saskatchewan where she devoted much of her time to training and competing for the Huskies Track and Field and Cross Country Teams. She was a member of both the CanWest and the CIS Track and Field Championship Teams, as well she represented Saskatchewan in numerous other meets. She is now currently involved in Muay Thai, snowboarding, rock climbing, triathlon and marathon racing. These experiences have taught her a great deal about the dedication required and the time management skills necessary to be successful. She believes that being involved in activities has resulted in numerous benefits in all aspects of her life. Which is why she feels it is important to promote healthy, active living at all levels of fitness.

Janice has a large base of theoretical knowledge combined with many years of practical experience that ranges from training elite athletes to training beginners of all ages. Her specialties include athletic performance training, injury prevention and rehabilitation, and management of chronic diseases. She has a lot of knowledge in regards to working with older adults, her experience involves the management of hypertension, diabetes type 1 and 2, obesity, hypothyroidism, depression, stress, chronic neck and back pain, the rehabilitation of many injuries, and cardiac rehab.

Janice’s clients can expect her to push them up the stairs that will lead them to their ultimate goals. She will do this by creating unique and individualized programs and by providing constant motivation and encouragement. She will teach all of her clients how to develop all aspects of a healthy lifestyle, by balancing their mind, body and soul. Her understanding in this field will insure that individuals of all fitness levels obtain their fitness goals.

 

Who is Laura Gurski?

Laura is a certified personal trainer and certified skating coach. She has a strong background in Figure Skating and ladies Fastball, but also enjoys several other recreational activities. Growing up in Kelowna B.C. Laura represented B.C. in several Figure Skating competitions and Fastball tournaments. She is passionate about sports and enjoys other activities such as running, yoga, snowboarding and slow pitch. Laura has always lead an active lifestyle and believes that it key to having a balanced lifestyle.

Hard work mixed with fun and variety is what Laura believes make up a great workout. She currently teaches a variety of classes from kids to seniors and enjoys working with all levels of fitness. With a personalized fitness program Laura will work with you to achieve your goals and help you set new ones as your fitness level progresses.
